Fresh Start in 2022
Welcoming a New Year too often means saying goodbye to valuable space in our homes. Whether it’s counter space, cabinet space, or storage space, new gifts and busy schedules lead to clutter and overfilled storage bins. We’re here to help! Today we’re sharing some tips to ensure you’re protecting your space in your transition out of the holiday season and into 2022!
1 PACK AWAY ALL HOLIDAY ITEMS
If you’re like us, you usually end the holiday season with a few more decorations than you started with. Whether it was a decor trend we had to have, or a thoughtful gift from friends or family, it happens, and that’s okay! If there are items that stayed in your holiday bins during this holiday season, ask yourself if those items really belong in your home anymore. Styles change and it makes sense that you wouldn’t use the exact same decor year after year after year. Put the things that no longer serve you in a donate pile.

2 DECLUTTER
Two things can be true at once - the holiday season is merry and bright and it leads to weird piles of stuff all over the house. One of our favorite hacks for this problem is placing a basket at the stairs for each member of your household as a catchall for the random items you find around the house. It’s a great interim place to store toys or other gift items that need to find a home.
3 DONATE
With your catchall baskets in use, it’s time to find homes for all your new holiday gifts. Often, to make room for that new Air Fryer, sneakers, or books you have to part with something else. In our experience, it’s much easier to let something go when you know it’s going to a good cause. When you’re finished decluttering and curating your space after this holiday season, here are some great local organizations who are always looking for donations.
The Revury
